Today is jam packed with musical goodies! How will you choose? Well, you don’t have to because TWM has done the work for you — just make sure you wear comfortable shoes so that you can venue hop and catch them all.

Who: Saidah Baba Talibah

Where: The Garrison 8:00PM

Saidah Baba Talibah has venerable pipes and is a superstar on stage. She’s a little naughty, a lot fierce, and has become one of the must-see performers doing their thing in Toronto and beyond. I’ve had the chance to interview her for the Winehouse and her fantastic album (S)cream has become a personal favourite. (She’s currently working on her sophomore album). Start your night off right by seeing this rockstar perform at the Garrison.

Who: Maylee Todd

Where: Horseshoe Tavern 9:00PM

Quirky and unpredictable, Maylee Todd – as with Saidah Baba Talibah — is a name most Toronto music lovers know. However, knowing what you’ll get with Todd (re: vagina costumes), is impossible. One thing you can be sure of is that her voice and show will wow you.

Where: Drake Underground 10:00PM

Indie. Pop. There is something ambiguous and gorgeous about Diana’s style that moves beyond both genres. The band is performing two shows (tomorrow, same place. Same time), and both are bound to draw a big crowd.

Who: The Blancos

Where: Handlebar 11:00PM

Ruckus, wild and sexy, the Blancos have something going on that captures your ear the minute you hear it. Mixing rap, rock and Hip hop swagger, great vocals, and lyrics filled with a lot of — par for the course — bravado, the band is still unknown but if their live show and album live up to the music samples I’ve heard thus far, they may not stay that way for long. Listen here.

Where: Czehoski 12:00AM

There’s a lot of partying happening tonight but if you just want to chill and listen to music that soothes and intrigues, check out Kashka. The singer-songwriter has a beautiful voice and is a musical storyteller. Let her tell you some tales at Czehoski’s tonight.

Who: Fefe Dobson

Where: Revival 12:00AM

More than any other popular Toronto singer performing tonight, Fefe Dobson is well known in the music world as a singer and songwriter. Her show is bound to draw a big crowd eager to hear her new music. A unique artist, always drawing from an eclectic array of genres, it will be exciting to see  what she has in store for fans now.

Who: Tanika Charles

Where: Horseshoe Tavern 1:00AM

It’s getting later in the week and music lovers are ready to make the night last longer, so tonight’s night owl selection is Tanika Charles. Powerhouse R&B and soul will make you feel like it’s only 9pm and keep you dancing and grooving her entire set.
